Lactation Cookies

I want to share my favorite lactation cookie recipe. Ok, it’s actually the only recipe I’ve made so far, but it’s so good that I haven’t bothered to try anything else!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Lactation Cookies

In a hurry, I accidentally made this batch  bigger than usual, so they spread out and flatted a little too much. But they were still delicious!

I’ve never been a big oatmeal person so I love that this dough is basically regular cookie dough. When I make these, I only use about 1 1/3 cups of oats. I also like to mix chocolate chips and M&Ms 🙂

This is a really easy recipe, and it’s pretty quick to whip up, which is great because who has time to cook with a baby?

Unless you eat them all the time, lactation cookies won’t permanently increase your milk supply, but they are a delicious way to give your supply a boost. I usually notice an increase about 6-8 hours after I eat them.

Be careful not to eat too many in one day, or you may become super engorged.
